You could add an `insmod sound' to /sbin/init.d/boot.local. But IMHO it's better to let the kerneld do the module loading automatically when sound support is needed (and to remove the module when it's not needed). Make sure you have kerneld support compiled into the kernel and have a look at /etc/conf.modules, there's an alias char-major-14 off in there, change it to alias char-major-14 sound
Also in YAST the install hardware sound card section is disabled an dI dont know why. Any ideas ??
