FWIW, I gave up on sendmails within distributions years ago. Its always better to 'roll your own' because security changes come fast and you need to be able to update quickly and easily. Yes, I know it can be a 'pill' the first time around. If you are new to this I can send you the 'step-by-step' we used here which takes you all the way through what can be a really confusing process for rpm lovers :-)
I just installed an email server using sendmail 8.11 in SuSE 7.3. I think I have to tune something but I don't know where.
The problem is I cannot use SMTP port to send the email, I still use provider SMTP. I test with telnet and the POP3 and SMTP port are OK.
Beside that I see that the date is wrong, someone send me an email this day but the date in my Outlook is tomorrow
Can somebody help me with this problem?
Kind Regards,
M. Edwin
