I know one is supposed to be able to "upgrade" Linux distributions, but I have usully found it easier to do a complete reinstall -- there aren't any things overlooked from the previous installation to muck up the new installation then. What I usually do is to format all partitions except the /home and /usr/local partitions (which contain the data and config files I want to keep), then do the reinstall, temporarily not using separate partitions for /home and /user/local so as not to interfere with personal files. Adjustments can then be made later -- On Wednesday 24 January 2001 15:42, Michael wrote:
After upgrading to SuSE 7 my server no longer is doing Apple Talk / netatalk properly. I restored my share config files from backup and when you browse you can see the shares but you can't open them. any idea what is wrong? Thanks.
