Well, I've just received a message telling me I can activate my new SUSE account.
Unfortunately the plain text version of the message doesn't actually include the necessary links AFAICT.
They are in mine.
I see these:
View on web click here: [redacted] sign in page: [redacted] SUSE Customer Center: [redacted] SUSE Community: [redacted] privacy statement: [redacted] Request a Call: [redacted] Unsubscribe: [redacted] 3rd party trademarks: [redacted]
I'm disappointed.
And I see that the privacy policy explains that my personal data will be exported to California, there to be processed by the NSA, CIA etc at their leisure I suppose.
Is there really no European firm (or even firm with a European server) capable of providing authentication services?
Again, I'm disappointed.
You should post your concerns to the Project mail list.
NO NO NO you really should not, you should raise your concerns about that one with SUSE, that is the account system for SUSE customers and partners as Marcus explained and I linked 15 minutes ago SUSE will be using a different system for R&D which will be shared with openSUSE for things like bugzilla obs etc. -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B
