Well, I tried it. And it didn't work. Back on 8.0 yet again. I must be a sucker for punishment, but I want 8.1 to *work*, not just be a box of disks sitting on my computer table... *sigh* And SuSE's installation support that's *supposed* to come with buying the system does not exist. At all. Sent an install support request over a week ago, plus a followup mail, and not so much as a peep in response. 60-day install support means "we'll answer you in 60 days" apparently. I've gotten RH8 and Mandrake9 to install and run okay. But I don't want them. I want SuSE, this 8.1 box of disks and administration guide that I paid for. That payment also includes installation support. I expect to get an answer to install support questions. That is not too much to ask. Instead, it's "take the money and run". Busy or not, if you include "install support" when someone buys your product, you're expected to give said support. End vent. Joe
