I am not near my SUSE 8.0 box so here is part of my Redhat /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file:
Section "Device" # no known options Identifier "NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX (generic)" Driver "nvidia" VendorName "NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX (generic)" BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce 2 MX (generic)"
#BusID EndSection
You said you were trying to edit the XF86Config file, are you sure you are not supposed to to edit the XF86Config-4 file? Are you running XFree 3 or 4?
Here is mine: Section "Device" BoardName "GeForce2 GTS" BusID "1:0:0" Driver "nvidia" Identifier "Device[0]" Screen 0 Option "nvagp" VendorName "NVidia" EndSection And it is /etc/X11/XF86Config The -4 is used on Redhat systems to denote version 4. Matt
