Can you say why you were impressed?

Well, mostly because it just works:) I must say, I was very sceptical of a 3rd party tool that is currently standing at version 0.42, which lead to me being pleasantly suprised. I started smart, it suggested some channels, which just so happens to be all the ones I wanted. I clicked refresh all channels, and it gave me a list of updates available. I said install all, and was impressed to see that it can download from all sites in parallel. There is definately some minor glitches still, but all in all, I think it was worth the time invested in it. Some glitches: - The tray icon always asks for the root password when you log in. - The tray icon does not give a clear indication of status. You have to hover the mouse over it to get a tool tip of the status. - Right click on the tray icon , and selecting "Start Smart .." does nothing. - Only a subset of functions are implemented in the gui. This got me at first. Once you're running, the gui is all you need. Marius
