install suse, make sure to install sendmail (or postfix) rpm, qpopper rpm, procmail rpm and maybe the imap rpm. then edit a few config files, make sure dns is setup to direct an mx record to your box and start it up. config files you will need to edit (sendmail) /etc/mail/access (to control who can relay) /etc/mail/sendmail.cw (which domains you want to accept mail for) /etc/aliases (point martin.guillen to mguillen, etc) /etc/mail/virtusertable (virtual emails) /etc/hosts.allow - add this line sendmail: ALL: ALLOW (only if you are using suse 7.1+) (popper) /etc/inetd.conf (uncomment the lines for pop3 and imap) /etc/hosts.allow popper: ALL: ALLOW add any user accounts and thats it. Hi all: I need to install a mail server and I want to use SuSE. The question is: where can I find information about a mail server to install in SuSE ?(SMTP and POP3 support is needed) Any comment is apreciated. Thank you, Martin.
