You have installed Java 1.4.2 as well, haven't you?
If so, uninstall Java 1.4.2.
I have installed many versions many times. It is easy to lose track of which versions are installed. Also, I think I'm unfamiliar with how to uninstall the Sun package. I assume it is simply rm -r /usr/java/jre1xxx. Uninstalling the SuSE RPM's is also simple. So, that is what I'll do now, uninstall every trace of java. Next, which version of Java should I install that has the greatest chance of working with Firefox? (And where do I obtain the java packages SuSE expects?)
