Fair enough, but can you play anything with mplayer that you can't when w32codec-all isn't installed?
I don't know. Before I had w32codec-all installed, MPlayer just segfaulted.
You need he 32bit version of mplayer to use thw w32codecs. But you can get (and install) the 32bit version of mplayer on a 64bit machine. I used the packman 32bits for suse 9.2 (as Im on a 9.2 box) without problems.
