Can anyone on this list offer any suggestions re this problem? I'm getting nowhere with SuSE's support. The original request was ack'd by your autoresponder on June 4. Please note that this is the second time (out of two requests!) that I have had to re-request tech support. To say that I'm disappointed with SuSE support is an understatement. However, when I inspect the server log message, I find two puzzling items: Item 1. What does this mean (line breaks are arbitrary)? How can I prevent it? Should I even be concerned? If I disable the xkb option I can't use e.g. my backspace key any longer. System: `/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/xkbcomp -w 1-R/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb -xkm -m us -em1 "The XKEYBOARD keymap compiler (xkbcomp) reports: " -emp "> " -eml "Errors from xkbcomp are not fatal to the X server" keymap/xfree86 /var/tmp/xfree86.xkm' tail: no process killed Item 2. The XServer reports that I have specified a 3 button mouse. This is wrong--I specified a Microsoft 2-button mouse, which is what I have.
