Still working on my trusty Pentium II which does not give me the possibility to have USB as boot possibility. Same with my Pentium III laptop. Would like to use my USB stick for booting a live linux but found up to now no usable solutions. Can somebody help me out?
If there is no BIOS options, than you need grub installed on hard with complete /boot directory. Floppy would be option if it is possible to create small initrd that can fit on floppy. I haven't tried that for a long time. In any case, it is not very usefull unless you only want to test bootable USB stick. -- Regards, Rajko. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
