Hi there!
I experienced some not-no-nice behaviour when using the default application on SuSE 10.2 called kwifimanager ... it shows the different networks but I still haven't managed to use it for connecting... -- if you did, please let me know!
Instead, I installed http://wlassistant.sourceforge.net/ and everything worked just fine.
I went to install with SMART, then found there's no RPM for 10.1 (or 10.2, BTW), so I decided to download the source and take my chances. Either I'm no longer qualified to act as a newbie or this is getting too easy. I downloaded the .bz2 file by typinging in: tar jxvf wlassistant-0.5.6.tar.bz2 Did a ./configure, make, su, make install and voila! http://www.perfectreign.com/stuff/suse/2006/wlassistant056.jpg -- kai - theperfectreign@yahoo.com www.perfectreign.com || www.4thedadz.com www.filesite.org || www.donutmonster.com wo ist der ort für den ehrlichsten kuss ich weiss, dass ich ihn für uns finden muss... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
