All that comes in rpms needs be included, because it can be reverted.
Some things, as I've said, should be set read only. In my opinion things like /usr/share/man and /usr/share/doc, which is so full of the GLPS (read some 'COPYING' files there) aren't going to change arbitrarily. Yes, they all come from RPMs. So what? And don't forget that there are a lot of places where an 'update' will not change the file. Many config files are like that, a new "<filename>.rpmnew" is created or perhaps the old is saved as "<filename>.rpmsave". Run # find /etc -name '*.rpm*' and see if you get some. Try it on /usr/share as well. -- A: Yes. > Q: Are you sure? >> A: Because it reverses the logical flow of conversation. >>> Q: Why is top posting frowned upon? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
