Just wondering if /usr/local/lib/systemd/system is the right place? The path isn't created by default at installation time, but that could just be a plain omission. I've created it on a 12.3 system, put a service unit there, works fine.
Right place for what?
For local service units - see $SUBJ :-)
Yes, systemd historically also looks there but it is discouraged. This location is not even officially documented.
I came across it when I was googling:
http://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd.html
"Other directories checked are /usr/local/lib/systemd/system ..."
So if not there, where would local service units best be put? Straight into /etc/systemd/system ?
What's wrong with "pkg-config systemd --variable=systemdsystemunitdir" as suggested by the same link in the same paragraph? :) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
