Hi More curiosity than anything else but 13.1 rc1 on vbox boots in 30 seconds whereas 12.3 take 90 seconds on the same host. I tried the 13.1 version, 4.2.18 on 12.3 by uninstalling vbox from the guest and using the 13.1 version from the vbox site. Exactly the same boot time on 12.3.
Any idea why the boot takes longer on 12.3 or even better, why 13.1 is so much quicker? Thanks, L x
A systemd update for openSUSE 13.1 RC1 was released recently. I did notice an improvement on boot up and power off times. Test it and come back with comments.
Hi OK, did a zypper dup and it pulled systemd 208. Fine, but no speed differences over 207. What you do notice is when you compare it with 12.3 boot times. Much faster on 13.1 rc.
