KNewsTicker

Hello all, My wife was admiring KNewsTicker, which I have scrolling across the top of my screen. She asked me to set one up for her, and I thought that it would not be a problem to create a new panel, add KNewsTicker to it, and enter in the RSS sites of her interest (entirely different than mine). The option to add KNewsTicker is grayed out, apparently because I am already using it. Is there a way to run two instances on one user's desktop? We both use the same login, and I do not want to change that. I am running 9.3 and KDE 3.4.0 Level B. If not, is there a second ticker style RSS reader that I can integrate into a panel?
