I ftp'd it myself over a reg modem connection, and it took something like five hours! Caldera (I think) has it on a cd-rom that they'll ship to you for $20. That's a pretty good deal. I run it on my AMD k5 pr-133 (64 megs of RAM), but it does indeed startup slowly. I don't use it _that_ much, cuz I like to dabble with LaTeX... Mark --- Perry Moon wrote:
Sandy,
I downloaded and installed the standard Linux distro from the star office site. All went fine, however it is about a 54 meg d/l ... It seems like a really nice suite for the price (free for personal use) it does take a while to boot though ( I am running a Celeron 266 @ 400 mhz 96 megs ram and suse 5.2 with 2.0.34 kernel). Don't know about the caldera package. I have it here on cd, but didn't try it as it was an old version I got with Open Linux (which I tried and didn't like) some time ago.
