System: Ryzen 7 2700X, 32GB RAM, GTX-1060 w/3GB, KDE Plasma 3.12.8, Kernel 4.12.14 I have a GP106 sound device (actually, I have a video card which has HDMI output) and I assume the GP106 is the way to send audio via the HDMI. Whatever the case may be, my problem is that some time earlier this year the $#@!& system started defaulting to HDMI-2 instead of HDMI-1, which kills the sound to my speakers. I can go to Configure Desktop in the Settings menu, Audio Volume, Advanced and change the device profile from Digital Stereo (HDMI2) to Digital Stereo (HDMI1) and it starts working and will until the desktop changes, then it changes back to HDMI2 profile. I cannot find where the default profile is stored and there is no option to apply the change when I make it. I have spent a lot of time looking and now I am down to asking for help. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks in advance. Fred
