Hi,
Now that I got my Linux box to dial up, I would like to ask one of the most important newbie questions. How do I automatically set my Fvwm2 backgrounds. I used 'xv -root /location/image.gif' to do this by hand, but I cant seem to make the FvwmBacker work for me. I copied and pasted the sample script right out of the man page, removed the line with the image, and saved the file as .fvwm2rc. When I restarted my windows manager, I lost my tool bar and the ability to move my windows around, as well as some other functionality. Does any one know a simple way to accomplish this?
Steve
Hi Steve, If you look under the button named FVWM2, there is a button to to Create a .fvwm2rc file in your home sub-directory. By doing this, you will be able to edit properties and change the backgrounds from the popup menus. -Dee W.D.McKinney (Dee) -=- deem@wdm.com No claim to fame, just saved by Grace. -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
