Berny, Since you are the true openSUSE dd expert: Leap 42.2 has the "status=progress" arg shown on that page. That is a favorite argument of mine and I only discovered in Jan. So much better than the old way of having to send it a signal. Thank you for whatever involvement you had in bringing that first to dd, and second to Leap 42.2 Has it been around a long time?
