Hi
Posted this to factory list by mistake....
Does anyone know how i can roll back kmail and related software? Its currently impossible to work with as it crashes so much for me at the moment. I've tried the work around but that does not work for me either as it does not load kmail.
Regards
Ian
Hi Ian
Forgive my replying off-list; I'm no expert so I'm not confident enough to make suggestions to the list.
I haven't used Tumbleweed myself, but if I wanted to do this on Leap I'd simply use the "software management" in Yast. When you select a package and then click the "versions" tab, there's often a number of earlier versions to choose from. When you do so, any dependencies will also be marked for downgrade. Have you tried this?
Kind regards, Huw I've haven't for this as there seems to be a lot of related and dependent software i.e. Kmail/akonadi/baloo and i'm not sure if yast will sort that out
