In your /etc/profile.local add lines that look something like: export PATH=$PATH:/usr/local/bin/:/usr/local/sbin This applies to all users. If this file does not exist, create it. If you want to do it to yourself only, then add to /home/billgates/.bashrc Use any editor you like. Kate would do it. XEmacs is my favorite. For instructions on how to use an editor, please call 1-800-BILL-GATES-ROCKZ Select 1) Then 2) and then 3) on your touch tone dial. Then wait on the phone for 45 minutes. He will get back with you as soon as possible. Salman On Tuesday 17 September 2002 18:03, Chun Ki Shin wrote:
Hi, SuSErs.. I'm running a SuSE 8.0. I have a doubt, which is, when I typed "echo $PATH" in "Shell-Konsole", I could see a bunch of stored path.....What can I do to add another PATH... where and how....?
Thanks for your help...
