Kill off your install and do a fsck on your filesystem at init 1 (telinit 1; fsck /dev/hda1 for example). This will eliminate any file system errors and then you can rule out any hard drive errors. I'm in the process of upgrading from 9.2 to 10.0 (boxed version), and it appears to have hung. The time remaining has been at 00:33 for a couple of hours now. The progress bar hasn't moved either. Clicking on the "Details" panel tab doesn't do anything (it's still showing the "Slide Show"). There appears to be a little activity on the hard drive, but not much. Any suggestions? Can I safely abort at this point?
Thanks,
Mike
