Of course, it will run exactly as fast as it should. But a multiple-CPU system will not run as fast as it _could_ with an SMP kernel. And of course, if you want to truly maximize your system's performance, you will have to build a kernel with the processor-specific options best suited to the CPU(s) it uses. Randall Schulz
