Hiperkitty, or "Hello Kitty" or whatever it is -- is by far the worst web reader for e-mail bar none. You would think whoever was in charge of this effort may have asked the community here for some feed back to prevent just this type of debacle.
Please, remember that there was no choice. The web view thing comes with mailman, and the need to migrate from the old mlmmj was forced (and had to be now). So basically it had to be mailman, as probably does every mail list out there that runs Linux.
There are so many good readers out there,
Which can be used with mailman? If there are some they can be considered. For example, I'm looking at one of the kernel mail lists, the XFS one. There is no archive listed in the headers. They are using majordomo as list server. Precedence: bulk List-ID: <linux-xfs.vger.kernel.org> X-Mailing-List: linux-xfs@vger.kernel.org There is an external archive at <https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-xfs/>. Is this archive compatible with mailman, or only with majordomo? Looking at another mail list. Headers: X-Mailman-Version: 2.1.29 Precedence: list List-Id: <dm-crypt.saout.de> List-Unsubscribe: <https://www.saout.de/mailman/options/dm-crypt>, <mailto:dm-crypt-request@saout.de?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <https://www.saout.de/pipermail/dm-crypt/> List-Post: <mailto:dm-crypt@saout.de> List-Help: <mailto:dm-crypt-request@saout.de?subject=help> List-Subscribe: <https://www.saout.de/mailman/listinfo/dm-crypt>, <mailto:dm-crypt-request@saout.de?subject=subscribe> It is an older mailman version (2.1.29). We are using 3.3.1 The archive is here: <https://www.saout.de/pipermail/dm-crypt/> "This archive was generated by Pipermail 0.09 (Mailman edition)." It is pretty simple. There does not appear to be a search box. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.1 x86_64 at Telcontar)
