Hi Folks I have a parallel port on which I have chained an ls120 and then an old deskjet printer. I am running suse linux 8.1. The printer works fine. As I understand it, the magic incantation to get the ls120 to work is mount -t vfat /dev/pf0 /media/ls120 However, this fails with: mount: /dev/pf0 is not a valid block device And what I see in /var/log/messages is: Dec 21 22:41:58 linux kernel: paride: version 1.06 installed (parport) Dec 21 22:41:58 linux kernel: pf: pf version 1.04, major 47, cluster 64, nice 0 Dec 21 22:41:58 linux modprobe: modprobe: Can't locate module paride_protocol Dec 21 22:41:58 linux kernel: pf0: Autoprobe failed Dec 21 22:41:58 linux kernel: pf: No ATAPI disk detected Dec 21 22:41:58 linux insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.19-4GB/kernel/drivers/block/paride/pf.o: init_module: Operation not permitted Anyone got any clues? I can't find anything useful about the missing module, apart from the obvious fact that it isn't anywhere on my system. Thanks in advance, Bryan
