I don't suppose it would be possible to change to using a system such as Bugzilla where the status of the bugs is visible and allows other users to add comments/clarifications or even potential fixes.
Wouldn't change much. This would again require people that filter the reports to remove useless reports, spam, hate mail etc. , i.e. improve the signal-to-noise ratio, as you can't require a developer to weed out the stuff by himself.
SpamAssassin gives a high negative rating (ie, non spam) to emails containing a gpg signature. Perhaps sugesting reporters to sign email that way would help a bit :-? I don't usually use pgp signing, but I would if it helps. The public key could also be saved as a part of registration, for example. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
