(SuSE 7.3) About a week ago, I ran YOU & got a whole bunch of updates, including KDE. Everything seemed to go just fine - no problems. Last night I was going to install an RPM, but when I opened kpackage I discovered that it would no longer recognize RPMs!! It would only recognize .tar, .gz, .tar.gz, etc. I tried changing kpackage "Options" but couldn't find anything to help. Anyone else seen this problem? Solutions? Maybe just re-install kpackage from the CDs........

The newbie that I am, he had to hold my hand thru the process, but I now have an optimized version of kdeadmin and kpackage works again! Look thru the SuSE mail archives for the mails entitled "Broken KPackage" and you will find your answer to the problem and the remedy as well.
