I just picked up a 2 meg pci ATI mach 64 card, installed the mach 64 server, ran xf86config to direct it to the new server... no problem. problem---> I seem to have lost about 1 inch from the top of my monitor and a little from the bottom! the resolution is640x480 800x600 1024x1024 all the same for 8bpp/16/24/32 The previous setup was an onboard card (this is on a compaq deskpro p90) with Im assuming 1M ram the difference in resolution is *slight* compared to my onboard setup I was told that a 2M would be more than adequate for web browsing, xgames etc, but the difference is minimal and Im not really happy about loosing an inch from my screen... did I miss something in the configuration? Was I "misguided"? any suggestions? thanks rob Linux Home page <A HREF="http://www.connix.com/~dizzy73/LBM.htm</A">http://www.connix.com/~dizzy73/LBM.htm</A> - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A>
