Personal I blame Chromium. Firefox runs as one process and one set of page buffers and the ability, therefore, to easily make extra-large pages and so reduce the demands on the page mapping tables.
I have also noticed Chromium uses a lot of swap, but Firefox seems to as well. I leave my computer up 24/7 and over time the swap usage increases. Then, when I kill Chromium and Firefox, the memory and swap usage both drop. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
