Hi, A while ago I did get HP DesignJet working with the jetdirect thing. I don't remember the details but I seem to remeber downloading some web based admin tool called "webjet" or "webmin" or someting like that from the HP site and then it all went well once I had told the plotter which machine (ip address) to keep it's spool files on (done from plotter). Sorry to be so vague but I think the key was that "webmin" tool. Hope that helps

Jyry Kuukkanen tapped away at the keyboard with:
I've browsed the woeful HP documentation on the JetDirect stuff and can't find any details on how to print to ports other than the default on a multi-port JetDirect print server.
My guess was different printer names; but what are the names?
raw1, raw2, ...
and text1, text2, ... I guess.
Thanks. I'll try that when I'm next on site. Just need to educate the site admin.
There's a Linux box supposed to be taking over the print spooling.
