I have found Vanilla kernels work well with Suse. This is a small business / home office situation. Brian Marr On Thursday 12 September 2002 17:14, Bo Jacobsen wrote:
I have always used the updated mantel/ kernels from SuSE, but as I need the EXT3 updates badly, I have no choice but to download kernel sources from www.kernel.org, as the mantel versions do not include these yet.
Is there any obvious / serious reason not to use the www.kernel.org versions on SuSE systems (7.2 and 8.0)
I would prefer to stick with the mantel/kernels but SuSE is not merging kernel sources with www.kernel.org very often.
