Does it really matter?
When you talk to others you are expected to use common language. "My server room" certainly is not commonly understood unless you explain what equipment is located in this server room.
And no, I am not really interested in it, it is just an extra step and extra noise. What I expect from you, is a clear explanation which devices have problems and how they are interconnected. The diagram was enough for this purpose. Adding "my computer room lost access" added nothing to it, but if you felt important to mention it I assume it provided some additional information. But it failed to convey this information in the form others can understand.
Ok, it meant this: 1 2 router-----sw1------sw2-----telcontar \ \-----isengard \Legolas ("computer room" is SW2) All machines connected to SW2 lost connectivity to internet when the old router was replaced by "Telefónica technician #1". Also machines connected to sw1 lost connectivity to internet. Machines connected directly to the router worked. But any machine connected to SW1 could connect fine to any machine connected to SW2. Then the "Telefónica technician #2" came, and after 2 hours of testing, I could convince him to replace the router. Instantly connectivity was back, albeit with loses, varying from 5 to 30%. After a month or two, the errors going from things connected at SW1 to the router or internet, stopped. That's all. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 15.4 x86_64 at Telcontar)
