For starters, try to use growisofs itself. Second, what kind of dvd burner do you have? This /dev/sr0, is it a scsi dvd burner? Try using growisofs -Z /dev/hdc, or /dev/hdd, depending where your burner is located at. Have you tried burning it on another OS, or on another computer with the same burner?
