Just add hdd=ide-scsi as a boot parameter and you'll see your DVD.
Hi again, and thanks for the reply. On my hdd is my CD-RW, and the line is added to the /etc/lilo.conf. I suppose its there you mean to add it ?. But I attach it here. I have added it twice, but maybe a fault ?. boot = /dev/hda3 change-rules reset read-only menu-scheme = Wb:kw:Wb:Wb prompt timeout = 80 message = /boot/message image = /boot/vmlinuz label = linux root = /dev/hda3 vga = 791 initrd = /boot/initrd append = "hdd=ide-scsi apic" image = /boot/vmlinuz.shipped label = failsafe root = /dev/hda3 vga = 791 initrd = /boot/initrd.shipped append = "ide=nodma apm=off acpi=off vga=normal nosmp maxcpus=0 disableapic 3 hdd=ide-scsi apic" optional As far as I know, the hdc=ide-scsi is obsolete with SuSE 8.1 ?.
Catimimi.
Hope to get valuable hints from you :-)
Thannks in advance.
