Can anyone vouch for the ease-of-use factor with these cards? I've seen them for $60 US and under, and was wondering if they were worth the investment. Those of you paying close attention may have noticed that I started out with a Voodoo Banshee by Creative Labs and I have since moved back to an SiS6326 card I had laying around. The SiS is still fairly cranky, compared to my ol' reliable S3 ViRGE DX card, and I wonder if the Permedia is any more or less cranky.
Just a shot in the dark. I appreciate any assistance.
I'm using a Creative Labs Graphics Blaster Exxtreme with a Permedia 2 chip and 4 Megs. It seems to work well except that 24 bit color is messed up (32 is fine though). I think the xserver for it is now part of the standard distribution with SuSE.
