Install Windows 7 on machine (allow for bios utility to work)?

I am unable to update the bios when in developer mode and execute bios utility update run as 'administrator'... Do you know if I am able to freely obtain a copy of windows 7 for installation on the machine? If so where may this be located at? Thank you
