I have done the install, built the driver as root, added my user to the vboxuser group and it does not start from my user, but will if I start from a root terminal, not sure what is wrong. I did the same thing on my last system (11.1) and it worked fine.
*assure* that your are a member of "vboxusers"
ie: issue groups from cl as <user>.
