Hello,
Is there a way to "skip" a particular version of an update indefinitely until a new version of the package comes out, so that it isn't offered to me in Apper constantly?
Version 11.2.202.235 of flash-player turned out to be very unstable with my setup so i reverted to the previous version, and locked the flash-player and flash-player-kde4 packages.
I find it very annoying that this update is still listed in Apper every time even though i exclude it when applying updates.
With the way this is working the last few days it completely defeats the purpose of the "updates available" icon notification, as I have to check every time if it's really something I'm not already aware of.
Windows 7 update manager does this pretty well I think. You right click the item and opt to not be offered that specific patch anymore (don't remember how it's called specifically).
Thanks, Gent There isn't really. PackageKit basically ignores and undoes any locks on packages. If you need to lock a package, you'll have to turn off any updating with Apper.
