Send an email to admin@o.o instead of merely guessing and making assumptions you have no ground for.
Why? It is not under o.o control
Huh? A *.opensuse.org subdomain not under opensuse control ?
paste.opensuse.org is aliased (CNAME) to susepaste.org - and it is indeed managed by a now-external contributor (former SUSE employee) on his own server/VM.
Why do you seem angry at my assumptions/guesses/queries? It is a free country, I can have my opinion and guesses, and I can express them here so that if any one knows, they can comment.
That's your perception that I'm angry. Fact is I'm not.
I'm sorry to say that, but your mail indeed sounded a bit angry or at least annoyed ("[...] instead of merely guessing and making assumptions you have no ground for"). Maybe re-reading this part helps to understand why Carlos thought you might be angry.
But good to know that it was not meant this way.
I just think that a support platform is not about opinions, guesses. And it's been said hundreds of times that creating a ticket by sending an email to admin@opensuse.org is the way to deal with things that you think are wrong.
Nobody said anything about "wrong". As there is no documentation on this web page what account is needed, but it offers Login button, all is left to us is guessing. And asking others is pretty normal. Do you intend to misuse admin@o.o as replacement for proper documentation?
By no means, Andrei. But a technical response from those who know? Carlos suggests that logging in might solve inaccurate spam detection in his post.
... and he's right with that (at least it was that way when I needed/ tested it last time) - by logging in, you can paste things that the spam detection would otherwise block (for example something that includes 10 links).
And to answer the initial question: It's an openID login. If you want to use your openSUSE account, you can enter https://www.opensuse.org/openid in the login field on paste.o.o/susepaste.org.
This will redirect you to a login page (id.opensuse.org [1]) where you can login with your openSUSE (bugzilla/wiki/OBS/...) login. You'll then see you which of your account data will be relayed to paste.opensuse.org. Allow that, and you are logged in.
Thank you! Of course, searching for either "SUSE openID" or "openSUSE openID" returns nothing useful. Is it intentionally kept secret?
