i am still at the messed up state with this machine. i can fire up an usb rescue stick and also check the current mbr partition table with fdisk -l I guess and I probably will find the asterisk/star on that second /dev/sda2 partition as thats the / (root) partition and thats where it booted from so far.
the usb boot rescure stick shows that the /dev/sda disk there, has three partitions. fdisk -l shows that /dev/sda2 has the little asterisk star sign. bootable active boot partition. fsck hows all three partitions have no error, no replay, no trouble and have been cleanfully dismounted upon shutdown and reboot attempt from inside the upgraded 15.1 (15.2) /dev/sda1 = swap /dev/sda2 = / /dev/sda3 = /home anyone need any files, logs whatever? i need to fix (chroot, yast2 bootloader module) this machine asap now..... -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
