on Mon, 25 Sep 2006 11:11:06 +0200 How can I set packages to NOT be updated via rug? I don't see any options in the rug man page. Also, it's set as locked in yast, so 'yast online-update' doesn't try to update it, but rug does! --

"rpm -e rug " run as root. I would agree Ed that erasing the package with -e would stop it from being updated via rug, however I doubt this is what the OP wanted.
Anders, my reference was SuSE 9.2 terminal and a search for -e on $man rpm I do not have rug here but perhaps someone else can help with a more constructive answer that would allow you to keep the existing set of packages that you do not want updated via rug. -- ======================================================================== Currently using unpatched SuSE 9.2 Professional with KDE and Mozilla 1.7.2 Linux user # 229959 at http://counter.li.org ========================================================================
