According to this i can get in when I first log in as root I can then access the web. Changing wvdial.conf permissions to 655 worked but I still must run it in console first.
Not quite what I meant.
Now I have a curious question how do I get the system to dial when go to www.oclug.org ???
Do you want dial on demand?

linux:/home/cwsiv # ls /etc/wvdial* -l -rw------- 1 root root 336 Sep 22 19:20 /etc/wvdial.conf linux:/home/cwsiv #
This is wrong. i.e. joe@jmorris:~> ls -l /etc/wvdial* -rw-r----- 1 root dialout 302 2003-03-14 08:38 /etc/wvdial.conf In case you're wondering, I made that mistake in 6.4. If you edit it,
and the editor makes a backup, it saves the file and changes the group
owner. Change it to dialout, and 640.
