I agree with your posting. Just this: there are people who do not have the posibilaty to download all to the computer they want to install it on. So it would be interesting for those to have the possability to have all of the FTP on ISO's. If there comes a distribution of witch you only need one CD to have a working system, it would also be nice to have all of the dustro on CD's (exept perhaps the sources) If there is a 4 or 5CD download, why not an 7 or 9 CD download?
