It used to work, up until I when I don't know, maybe after some online updates a few months ago. Still works on OS/2 & windoz. Printer is LaserJet 4 on 192.168.0.4:9100. KControl shows "State: idle (rejecting jobs)", and no jobs, while KJobViewer shows several jobs queued, all size 0, pages 0. If I try to remove a job from the queue, I get an error popup "Unable to perform action 'Remove' on selected jobs. Error received from manager: Execution of lprm failed:" I tried the lpadmin man page, but nowhere I can figure out does it tell how to find out the printer name(s) available to specify, or how to specify all existing printers. Again like most man pages, no or not enough examples are provided. lpinfo -l -v shows: network socket direct hpfax direct hp network http network ipp network lpd direct parallel:/dev/lp0 direct scsi serial serial:/dev/ttyS0?baud=115200 network smb Where in YaST2 or KControl3 does one configure CUPS? I tried from utilities->printing->manage printing, which shows pending on the two jobs I just tried to create, with a red button "hold job" next to each. When I open printers, it shows a red button "reject jobs", and "Printer State: stopped, accepting jobs, not published". The print test page button sends another to the queue. In trying to change settings in administration, apply settings gives a "please stand by while the server restarts..." message that doesn't go away. On help.opensuse.org I found http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Laser_Printer_Does_Not_Print_Properly_Or_Does_Not... but that page seems to be an error page for the help wiki database. Googling for "Execution of lprm failed" turned up nothing useful. Anyone know how to find and fix this problem? -- "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain."
