I'd like to run the latest grip, because the one that comes with Suse 8.0 doesn't seem to work properly (everytime I rip a CD and insert the next cd, it doesn't update the duration of the tracks, but uses the ones from the first cd) I hope the later version doesn't have this error (or is it only my configuration and no one else has this problem?) Anyway, trying to compile the program it tells me this: phoenix@myriad:~/Downloads/entpackt/grip-3.0.1> ./configure loading cache ./config.cache checking for a BSD compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking whether build environment is sane... yes checking whether make sets ${MAKE}... yes checking for working aclocal... found checking for working autoconf... found checking for working automake... found checking for working autoheader... found checking for working makeinfo... missing checking whether to enable maintainer-specific portions of Makefiles... no checking for gnome-config... no checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /usr/local/lib... not found configure: error: Could not find the gnomeConf.sh file that is generated by gnome-libs install 1. Where do I get makeinfo from? 2. Why doesn't it find a gnome-config? I have the gnome desktop installed (even though I'm running KDE) and I believe the gnome libs, too. I tried compiling under gnome, which is not working either - so that can't be the problem. Some help would be great! Regards, Phoenix
