In the middle of my work I sometimes have to cut'n paste a URL into konq address bar. That way to do it in windows is to:
1) Select your new URL that you want to paste into address bar and do CTRL+C. 2) Double click inside the address bar to select the old URL. 3) do CTRL+V. This essentially replaces the old URL with the new one that you wantr
In Linux this does not work.
In KDE (not Linux) it works differently. You have to press the key "erase address bar" then paste your URL. So you do not waste time.
Definitely this takes longer. I wish I could just disable this feature.
You do not need to.. I told you how it works in KDE.
It works even better by just pasting in the main-window of your browser, you don't need the address-bar at all. Try /that/ in Windows.. (Works in _other_ browsers, not sure about konq).
