I am on a campus that has just employed a dhcp service and I am newbie to the networking set up of a un*x workstation. Upon running the dhcpcd command I get the following: eth0: 3c509 at 0x300 tag1, AUI port, address 00 60 97 97 43 84, IRQ 5 3c509.c: 1.12 6/4/97 becker@cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov eth0: Setting Rx mode to 1 addresses and then nothing happens. I have ^C'd out of the process impatiently and have no connectivity. What do these statements above mean?, and how can I tell if my card is setup properly? I am sending this under Windoze '95 on the same machine I am dual booting with Linux. Oh, Thanx in advance, I have been reading this list for a few weeks now and have learned alot. thanks Matt Proud Member of the Fightin Texas Aggie Class of '01 - To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e Check out the SuSE-FAQ at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A">http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/</A</A>> and the archiv at <A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A">http://www.suse.com/Mailinglists/suse-linux-e/index.html</A</A>>
