I tried a first install of opensuse 12.1 on one machine. Works mostly
ok. However remote users cannnot log in via ssh. In the logfile I get

Nov 18 17:39:42 conto sshd[3090]: error: PAM: User account has expired
for bartosch from vpn15
The same user can login into all 11.4 machines that use the same NIS
database.
What could be wrong?

did you start the sshd daemon and open the firewall?

I just did and it works
